just about every city and town in our home state of Indiana – from Anderson to
Warsaw. Always Inn Indiana is perfect for a romantic weekend escape, a wedding,
small conference, or retreat with a business, church, craft guild or group. Our
grounds and deck area are often used for special events and small weddings in
the spring, summer and autumn. Our serene wooded setting with trails, a pond and
wrap around decks help restore your energy and soothe you. Unwind and relax
with a leisurely soak in our outdoor spa. Curl up in front of the roaring
fireplace in our great room with a good book or a video from our extensive
library. Lounge on our expansive wrap-around sunny decks and smell the pines.

and alley in our small town is chock-full of artist studios, galleries, arts and
crafts shops, jewelry stores, candle factories, stationery, art glass, pottery
and gift emporiums, handmade musical instrument shops, dried floral and
grapevine decorators, wine-tasting outlets, and clothing, boot, hat, quilt and
linen boutiques. Many guests make an annual pilgrimage to the Always Inn
immediately before or after Thanksgiving for holiday shopping at its best.
There are also two outlet malls in the area as well as large outdoor flea
markets that are open in the spring, summer and fall. We often help arrange for
shipping purchases or gift items. The famed little Nashville
Opry, the Pine Box Theatre, live music and fine dining are among many
attractions that are close by. Columbus, IN, just eight miles away, has many
galleries, malls, museums, movie theaters and restaurants. Take an architectural
tour of Columbus and see why it is called “the Athens of the Midwest.”
Indianapolis, with its famed Indianapolis International Speedway, State Capitol,
museums, galleries, malls, stores, and historical neighborhoods, is less than an
hour’s drive from Always Inn.
Winter: If you enjoy the outdoors, you’ll love the hills of Brown
County, Indiana in the winter. Experience snowshoeing or hiking at nearby Brown
County State Park or Millrace Park. Cross-country ski at nearby trails or
downhill ski at local slopes. Shops, museums and galleries are open year round.
Spring: The dogwood and redbud trees are in bloom, heralding spring in
Brown County. This is a great time to bird watch and discover many native
wildflowers. Or photograph the trees, flowers, barns and covered bridges in the
area. Ask about our picnic lunch packages for day hikes at nearby parks.
Summer: Sunny skies and warmer temperatures bring a wealth of outdoor
recreation choices in Brown County. You can golf, fish, swim, canoe, kayak,
horseback ride and hike in the area. Power boating and jet-ski rentals are also
available at nearby lakes.
Fall: The spectacular display of autumn foliage
makes for an especially beautiful time in Brown County, with vibrant leaf colors
during October and early November. Book early! Two-night stays are required and
